Dutchman Industries has a history that links directly to Dutchmaster Nurseries and the need for quality nursery equipment on a high production tree farm. Dutchmaster has been in business since the early 1970's and has evolved into a 1600+ acre wholesale nursery distribution center. Early beginnings were spent trying to mechanize our field operations and fill the voids left by machinery downtime. Much of this downtime was directly related to servicing and repairing tree spades. In the late 1970's, we commenced work on a newly designed tree spade. The idea was to build a reliable spade that virtually had no service time and produced a superior root ball. Initially, we built it for ourselves, but were constantly asked by other nurseries if we could build a unit similar for them.

Henceforth, the Dutchman Tree Spade was born. Since then, we have evolved into a completely separate company and are constantly redesigning and re-engineering our products to ensure that they are the very best that the industry has to offer. Although our product line has grown significantly, our humble roots have not. We build equipment for the needs of the Nursery and Landscape industry because we know how these demands and challenges change from year to year. We also know that every tree operation is slightly different and we cater to those needs.
